Whipkey's Weekly Update 5/10-514/10

Dear Families,
We are in the home stretch of 5th grade! In all subject areas, we will be tying up loose ends. We will also have lots of end-of-year "extras" to keep us busy. Tomorrow (5/12), we will have the band director from the Middle School coming to give a short presentation to the kids about joining band. Friday (5/14), we will watch the "Growth and Development" film. If you prefer your child not participate, please let me know as soon as possible. Monday, the 17th is field day! We will be practicing for our Promotion Ceremony Wednesday through Friday(5/19-5/21)! If your child has a summer birthday and you would like him/her to celebrate at school, please feel free to send in snack/treat on Friday, the 21st. I will be in a meeting that morning, but thought it would be fun to spend the afternoon celebrating birthdays and cleaning up our room - well the birthday part would be fun!:) As always, if you have questions or concerns, let me know! 5/26-5/27 - Parent/Teacher Conferences!
